Success story: Roland DG and photographer Sebastiá Caus
2020Digital printingVisual Communication

Roland DG has supported C!Print Madrid since its inception in 2014. This year, it returns for its 7th edition.
Roland DG accompanies a variety of professionals, such as photographer Sebastià Caus, who has dedicated himself to photography for over forty years, the last ten years specifically capturing the essence of almond trees. And thanks to the Roland DG camera, he has been able to make a living from his art.

The photographer, along with his camera, captures the landscape of his homeland, capturing the exceptional beauty of these trees. Although there is no festival celebrating the almond blossom in Segarra (Catalonia) similar to the one held in Japan for cherry blossoms, Sebastià Caus wanted to pay homage to their uniqueness in his new project.
Hundreds of photographs of almond trees have been captured by his camera and printed with the versatile digital technology of Roland DG, an exhibitor at C!Print Madrid. Thanks to his passion for photography, along with printing, he has been able to transfer his images onto large media, creating incredible works of art, paintings, and decorative pieces worthy of the finest spaces.
In 2009, he acquired his Roland digital printer, which allowed him to print his photographs in large format.
With vivid colors and top quality. With the purchase of the equipment, Sebastià Caus began marketing his photographs and selling them as exclusive decorative pieces for individuals and decorators.
In addition to selling his works, the artist has recently participated in major exhibitions. This year, as part of his project "The Almond Tree, Infinite Inspiration," he presented the installation SAKURA as part of the Cervera Capital of Catalan Culture initiative. He showcased his work on the exhaustive monitoring of the natural evolution of almond trees, which he printed in large-format, high-quality photographs using his Roland digital printer.

There are many benefits to digital printing. For Sebastià Caus, the ability to print his own work has allowed him to save costs and capitalize on his passion, as he explains:
“ Experimenting with multiple materials and printing photographs in different formats has opened up new creative possibilities for me .” He adds, “ The Roland printer offers unique quality and maximum detail accuracy, which is why it has become a fundamental part of my work .”
We invite you to stroll through an almond field and explore the artist's incredible work, as he himself says, " Looking is free ."
