The Business Association of Graphic Communication (Neobis ), partner of the C!Print Madrid 2026 trade fair, which will be held from January 13 to 15 at IFEMA Madrid, held a meeting on October 30 with the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, at the Ministry headquarters.
The meeting aimed to address the main challenges and opportunities of the Graphic Communication sector in Spain.
During the meeting, the president of neobis, Ignacio Manero de la Fuente , along with his team, presented to the Minister the reality of an industry that brings together almost 6,000 companies and more than 40,000 professionals, and that plays an essential role within the Spanish productive fabric.
Neobis emphasized the cross-cutting and strategic nature of Graphic Communication, a sector that not only generates wealth and employment but also supports and drives other industries such as food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, publishing, logistics, culture, and advertising. Thanks to its work, Graphic Communication connects companies, brands, and consumers every day.
Among the topics discussed during the meeting were three key issues for the immediate future of the sector: digital transformation, sustainability, and the integration of young talent. Neobis emphasized the importance of supporting companies in these processes to maintain their competitiveness and ensure the continuity of an industry present in all aspects of daily life.
The meeting, considered by both parties to be very constructive, represents an important step in strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and the Graphic Communication sector, at a crucial time marked by the challenges of technological innovation, energy efficiency and regulatory adaptation.
Neobis highlighted the active listening and approachability of Minister Jordi Hereu and his team, as well as their willingness to continue collaborating to strengthen the institutional recognition of an industry that shapes ideas and makes communication possible for all economic sectors.
