Innovation, sustainability and structural cardboard applied to the design of ephemeral spaces
Northern Design will be the company in charge of designing and building the stand for the AP Digital Awards at C!Print Madrid 2026, consolidating its position as a benchmark in sustainable design and innovation applied to retail and ephemeral spaces.
In addition, the company will participate in the conference program of the trade fair on Wednesday, January 14 at 11:15 a.m., within the workshop “Cardboard engineering: complex structures with sustainable materials”, which will be taught by Alex Garcia, product designer at Northern Design.
Sustainable design that makes a difference
Northern Design's participation in C!Print Madrid comes after the success achieved in the 2025 edition of Shop! Le Salon Paris, where the brand stood out with a stand built entirely in Swedboard FibrePremium FR, a high-strength structural cardboard with fire-retardant properties.
The space became one of the main attractions of the fairgrounds thanks to its innovative design, striking finishes, and the diverse applications developed entirely from structural cardboard. In contrast to traditional structures, the stand offered an elegant, innovative, and sustainable vision of design applied to the world of retail.

Each element was designed to demonstrate that cardboard can be elegant, functional and resistant, without sacrificing a striking aesthetic or a practical, safe and quick assembly and disassembly system.
