2026Associations and MediaDigital printingnew
The Association presents global data and analyzes the main specialties for 2024
The collaborator of C!Print Madrid The economic study was presented on March 12th in Madrid. The study's objectivity is guaranteed by working exclusively with data obtained from the Mercantile Registry. The study reflects a generally sound financial sector, although with varying performance depending on the specialty and increasing pressure on margins in some traditional areas.
Solid financial structure
In all the specialties analyzed, a balanced asset structure is maintained, with equity levels exceeding 50% in most cases. Labels and bookbinding stand out in particular.
Debt remains under control and, in several specialties, has even decreased compared to 2023. This demonstrates a sector that is prudent in its financial management and has the capacity to withstand demanding economic environments.
Evolution by specialty
- Commercial Printing It shows stability in revenue, but tight margins, with structural pressure on costs and working capital.
- Packaging It registers a very slight increase in revenue, although with a deterioration in the result, reflecting tension in production costs.
- Tags It is positioned as the most dynamic specialty: increased revenue and results, with an interesting profit margin that has increased.
- Digital Large Format It experiences a clear improvement in profitability, significantly improving its EBITDA.
- Book It shows a decline in revenue - and results, along with a decrease in net margin.
- Binding It shows a drop in revenue and results, despite maintaining a solid asset structure.
Sectoral structure
Furthermore, a high concentration of businesses is maintained in certain specialties, where a small number of companies concentrate more than 50% of the income and results, which points to a progressive sectoral consolidation.
A solid sector, but with challenges
Overall, the graphic communication sector in 2024 shows financial stability, controlled debt and uneven profitability depending on the specialty, with structural pressure on margins in certain areas and a clear trend towards concentration and specialization.
The complete analysis, with detailed information by specialty, comparative evolution and expanded financial ratios, is available to member companies as part of the sectoral economic information service that the Association makes available to its members.
