The invisible factor that determines the quality of your print

Condair explains why humidity is the most decisive invisible variable in your projects
Most printing companies invest in machines, inks, and software, but rarely pay attention to one factor that can ruin all of the above: the ambient humidity of the workshop. Condair, a Swiss specialist in industrial humidity control with over 75 years of experience, will be exhibiting at the next edition of C!Print Madrid, from January 12th to 14th, 2027.It offers a different perspective from the other exhibitors: it doesn't sell printers, but the climate environment that makes those printers work properly.
When relative humidity falls outside the optimal range—generally between 55% and 65% RH depending on the application—problems begin: premature drying of the inkjet printheads, paper that curls or warps, static electricity buildup that causes jams, and imprecise roll cuts. These are issues that many printing companies mistakenly attribute to the machine or the ink, when the real source is the air in the room.
Condair's industrial humidification systems are specifically designed for printing, packaging, and paper handling rooms, maintaining stable humidity regardless of the season or external conditions. This results in less material waste, fewer unplanned production stops, and a longer lifespan for printheads, one of the most expensive components to replace in any printing equipment.
For workshops that have already optimized their machine, ink, and substrates, humidity control is often the next logical step—and the most overlooked—to squeeze the real return on investment already made.
