Roll-to-roll and UV printing: Swiss manufacturer improves its KARIBU technology
In May of this year, SwissQPrint launched its first roll-to-roll UV-LED printer, up to 3.4 m long, called the KARIBU . It features the Karibu cassette system, into which rolls are loaded and immediately ready to print, and the tip-switch vacuum system, where the roll width doesn't matter because the vacuum is always perfect (136 vacuum zones).
The software it uses, Lory, is intuitive and allows for instant quality control. Its top-quality backlit light table features up to 48 individually controlled LED segments. It also includes a mesh fabric kit and a dual-roll option. Another new feature is the addition of the new FR1 roll-to-roll ink , which is low-odor, Green Gold certified, and NVG-free.
